The City of Glasgow is excited to welcome our new city clerk, Danielle Cashion. Danielle was hired in October 2022 in billing and began assisting the previous clerk with her duties.
“Being appointed as Glasgow’s City Clerk is truly an honor. Although I was not born here, I have been warmly welcomed and have formed meaningful friendships and professional relationships within the community.”
Danielle has prior experience and knowledge of municipal operations from her time at Marion City Hall, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. “The unique challenges of that period required everyone to cross-train in multiple roles, which allowed me to develop a strong foundation in city clerk responsibilities”.
I moved to Glasgow in October 2022 to be with my husband, and we now call Smiths Grove home, enjoying life on a beautiful farm with our daughter, horses, and dogs. When asked what she enjoys about being in Glasgow, Danielle states: “I love Glasgow’s small-town charm while also appreciating the many wonderful amenities it offers. This is a town I have grown to love, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve its citizens in this new role.”
