Downtown Glasgow Is Now Connected!

New Free Public Wi-Fi Available Downtown

The City of Glasgow is proud to announce the launch of free public Wi-Fi in key outdoor areas of downtown, thanks to a partnership with the Glasgow Electric Plant Board (EPB). Whether you’re working remotely, attending an event on the square, or enjoying a quiet moment on the courthouse lawn, staying connected just got easier.

Where You Can Connect

Free public Wi-Fi is now available in the following downtown outdoor locations:

  • Around the Square
  • The Courthouse Lawn

While access is currently limited to these select areas, this rollout marks a significant step toward improving digital access in our community.

“This project is part of our ongoing efforts to make downtown more welcoming, accessible, and vibrant for both residents and visitors,” said April Russell, Glasgow’s City Administrator. “We’re grateful for our continued partnership with the EPB in helping bring this vision to life.”

What to Expect

The network is free, secure, and easy to use. Just connect to the public Wi-Fi on your device when you’re nearby and enjoy fast, reliable internet.

Please note: there may still be a weak signal near the bus stop adjacent to the square. Equipment upgrades are already on the way to improve coverage in that area.

Brought to You By

This initiative is made possible by the City of Glasgow and the Glasgow Electric Plant Board. Together, we’re working to enhance the downtown experience and create a more connected community.

Stay tuned for future updates as we continue to improve digital infrastructure in Glasgow.
