  • 2025 City Clean-Up Week: Your Chance to Declutter and Refresh Your Home

As spring approaches, it’s the perfect time to tidy up your home, yard, and property — and the 2025 City Clean-Up Week is here to help! Mark your calendars for March 24 – 28, 2025, and take advantage of this FREE annual opportunity to dispose of unwanted items.

This city-wide initiative is designed to help residents easily clear out clutter and improve the appearance of their homes and neighborhoods. Here’s everything you need to know to participate successfully.

Important Dates and Details

City Clean-Up Week runs from March 24 – 28, 2025. To ensure your items are collected:

Place items by the curb on your regular garbage pick-up day by 7:00 AM.

Bag or box all small items to keep the process organized and efficient.

Avoid placing items under trees, near utility poles, or against mailboxes. Keeping the path clear ensures sanitation workers can easily access your items.

Tree and shrub trimmings should be tied in bundles no longer than 3 feet for easy removal.

Following these simple guidelines will help ensure a smooth and successful clean-up for both residents and city crews.

Items That Will Not Be Collected

While this event is an excellent opportunity to dispose of household clutter, certain items are not eligible for pick-up. These include:

  • Appliances (though they can be taken directly to the landfill year-round at no charge)
  • Pesticides
  • Auto Batteries
  • Asbestos
  • Large Tree Limbs
  • Liquids
  • Tires
  • Auto Parts
  • Construction Materials
  • Whole Trees

If you have items in these categories, consider alternative disposal methods or contact the Department of Public Works for guidance.
