This Veterans Day, the City of Glasgow invites the community to come together in gratitude and remembrance as we honor the brave men and women who have served our country.

Due to the forecasted wind chill, the Glasgow Veterans Day Parade will now be held indoors at the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center. The event will begin at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 11, followed by a ceremony and luncheon in recognition of our local Veterans.
The keynote speaker for the ceremony will be Lieutenant Colonel Jason Simpson, who resides in Glasgow with his family. His dedication to both service and community makes him a fitting voice for this special day of reflection and appreciation.
Later that evening, the celebration continues with the Veterans Day Dinner at the Glasgow National Guard Armory.
- Doors open: 6:00 PM
- Dinner served: 7:00 PM
- Veterans: Free admission
- Guests: $10 per plate
The evening program will feature a performance by the Glasgow Community Band and remarks from Lieutenant Colonel Simpson, as the community gathers once again to share a meal and pay tribute to those who have served.
Additionally, Applebeeโs will offer a free entrรฉe to all Veterans on Tuesday, as a small token of appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
As we observe Veterans Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to thank a Veteran, attend an event, or simply reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of their courage and commitment.
From all of us at the City of Glasgow, thank you to every Veteran and active-duty service member for your dedication to our nation.
